My blog is where I share detailed wedding and engagement stories on my journey as a wedding photographer. You'll also find blogs about great venues and planners to connect with and tips on how you can make your wedding day the BEST day possible.
I first met Kelsie back in 2010 while I was living in California. She was always the free spirited, bubbly girl with the biggest smile. Fast forward to 2017 and Kelsie contacts me about shooting her wedding. I was so humbled that after all those years she thought of me as the one person to celebrate with her and her fiancé Criston. After discovering I was free for her date I couldn’t have been happier! A chance to travel, a chance to connect with a great couple and a chance to enjoy that California weather.
Criston and Kelsie held their ceremony at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Bakersfield, CA. The large, cathedral style sanctuary was the perfect setting for two of the most authentic people to tie the knot. Criston was dressed to the T in the sharpest Tux and received a standing ovation as he walked down the aisle. After the wedding party entered, everyone rose to their feet as Kelsie entered in a beautiful wedding gown with gold accents and meticulous detail.
My favorite part of the ceremony was when Criston sang an original song to his future wife. Not many people can say they’ve done that and I thought it was one of the purest moments of love I’ve ever seen.
Criston and Kelsies reception was awesome! An intimate outdoor setting right by the Kern River at the JEH Ranch! The setting was perfect as guests enjoyed great food, cake in 3 flavors and a live band that brought the house down.
I’m so blessed to have captured Criston and Kelsies wedding! You could feel the love throughout the entire day and the moments they shared as husband and wife were priceless. I can’t wait to see all of the awesome things God has in store for them and their marriage.
